Camino de Santiago Day 01 – part deux

On arrival at St Jean we made our way quickly to get our passports. Lucky that we didn’t wait as soon after we arrived a queue quickly formed behind us.
Afterwards we wandered around the town trying to find a supermarket and pharmacy open on a Sunday morning.
After completing our task successfully we started off towards the mountains.
Todays walk was mainly on the road and also mainly uphill. Never mind tomorrow will also be uphill all day.

Leaving on a jet plane

Well it’s time to leave NZ and travel off to Europe.

Perhaps I can write my blogs this time as song lyrics.

So I’m leaving on a jet plane, I know when I’ll be back again.

The weather currently us thunder bolt and lightning, very very frightening.

To take a break from digging a hole for myself, we decided to go for a bike ride.

As I had been outside digging for 3 hrs. It was time for a coffee and a item to eat first. After a period for digestion and getting the bikes ready it was 2.00 PM and possibly not the best time of day to start.

So through the heat we made our way to Hamilton via the river, finding an alternative route back home.

Not having been on the bikes for ages you soon see how much fitness you have lost.

Oh well back to my hole.
