Today is Matt’s last day so a calm day before his flight meant a drive into Queenstown and a jet boat ride.
Well it was good having Matt here now is the time to say goodbye, untill July.

Although I haven’t been posting resently I have been busy with other things. Renovating, walking, eating & sleeping.
Here is one of the shorter walks we have been doing.
Took this one in the morning. It didn’t take us nearly 2 hrs. I just forgot to turn the tracker off.
Followed by a longer one after tea.
Today will be the final push to LA, Jo want to get up and leave at 5.00 as in our real time that will be 7.00. Yes we have found both the hours we lost on the way out to Kentucky. The problem with that is we will arrive at LAX before lunch and our flight isn’t until 10.00 pm.
As it is we leave before 8.00 and already Google is saying there is at least 30 mins delay.
As it turns out google is wrong and we head off to the beach for a stroll before returning the car.
There in is another thing for Jo to worry about. Part of our deal was a free wifi enabled tablet, that gave us calls and a wifi hotspot. This was because we had spent over £500 ordering it in the uk. Will they charge us for the unit as we are returning the car early and will be under the required spend.
All turned out ok in the end we weren’t charged for the unit.
And another long drive today, the last hopefully. Final stop is Kingman AZ, tomorrow it’s LA and then a flight home.
To break the trip up we ‘stood on the corner of Winslow Arizona’

And are now sat infront of the fire at our hotel.

Oh, Jo played me a tune as well.

A full day’s drive today.
Stopped of to see a Cadilac farm.

Ended up in Santa Rosa NM Still haven’t seen any aliens but did manage to find one of the hours we lost last week.
We are now heading home. ‘Go west’ etc.
A short drive today as we finally reached Greensburg KY. We drove to the cabins to see what they were like, then went to the city hall to make our booking.
The cabin came complete with air con and a smell of wet dog. Hopefully it’s only on the porch.
After unloading the car we drive round to Ro’s. We have become Americanised as it’s next door to where we are staying. So it was out the drive from the cabin and a u-turn on the road and up the next drive.
We found apartment 2 and I knocked on the door, no reply. I tried again, still no reply. So we head back to the car we discovered that I had been knocking at the wrong door. Luckily we didn’t disturb anyone.
We spent the afternoon and evening chatting to Ro, Larry and Mel.
After several days of driving we have finally decided to stop for the night and to go out on the town. Luckily we have stopped in Nashville.
The main street is one long row of bars each one having a different sound resonating from it, one even had a barbers chair.

After several drinks and a meal we weaved our way back to the hotel.
Another full day of driving. Found an hotel for the evening and asked about the local restaurant. They said it was quite good and informed would need to drive.
We drove out the carpark turning left, drove one block to a mainish road and the restaurant was there, Right in front of us.
